Ahoy Roche Rendezvous Captains and First Mates,
The countdown is on for our next epic rendezvous—and this one’s shaping up to be a full-throttle blend of salty tales, paddle battles and wine-fueled entertainment.
Before you cast off, here’s your official packing list and a few golden nuggets to keep in mind:
- Bring your burgee – Lets show off our club and let it fly proudly! You don’t have one yet, there will be some for purchase. It’ll look great in the photos!
- No slip reservations needed – I have reserved space for all of us and am communicating directly with Roche Harbor Marina. Please dock bow in if possible, for the club photos. Call 78a when approaching and let them know your vessel and you’re a part of the Rendezvous.
- 20% off at Roche Harbor stores - Flash your badge to receive the discounts.
- Potluck, Thursday, Sept 25 - Bring your favorite dish to share with the group. LAST names bring:
- A-C APPETIZER
- D-L MAIN DISH
- M-R SIDE DISH
- S-Z DESSERT
- Crab and Salmon Feast Saturday, Sept 27 – Many of the members will be out fishing for coho on Wednesday morning and others will be dropping their pots for crab throughout the weekend. If you’d like something else, please bring your own. Also bring a side dish or dessert to share with the group.
- Wine for the Wine Party Thursday Sept 25 – Cap’n Charlie will be entertaining the group with his original Salish Sea boat tunes. Bring wine to share with your friends and come be entertained. Not a wine fan, no matter bring what you like.
- Fishing Tournament Wednesday Sept 26 and Sucia Island Flotilla Sunday Sep 28 – If you’re planning to attend either event, please RSVP to helmsmanboatclub@outlook.com . We need the headcounts to plan the fun (and the bait).
- Share your summer adventures on your Helmsman - Bring a USB Stick or SD Card with your pictures on it and let the group drool with envy. It among mny other pics will be played in the background during breakfast, lunch, dinner, breaks. No need to have your ship in the picture 😊
- Layers, Layers, Layers - September weather can be a bit unpredictable. Be ready for all moods of the Pacific Northwest.
Let’s make this rendezvous one for the logbooks. Stories will be swapped, new friends will be made and fun will be had by everyone.
